What is the minimum group size?
At least 8 people. You rent one kickbike per person, so the minimum is 8 kickbikes. Even if there are six of you, you pay for 8. Got a large group? Get in touch and we will see what is possible.
Where do you deliver?
Within 15 km of Utrecht, and that is included in the price. You give an address or a clear spot, such as your office, your hotel or a park entrance. We collect the kickbikes afterwards, at a different place within those 15 km if you like.
How far in advance do I need to book?
At least 13 days before the rental date. That gives us time for the invoice and the planning.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancelling is free of charge up to 24 hours before the rental date. If you cancel within 24 hours, you pay the full amount. You can also change the number of people up to 24 hours in advance.
What if it rains?
A shower is no problem, just bring a raincoat. In case of thunderstorms or an official weather warning (code orange or red), we move your rental to another date in consultation, at no extra cost.
What is the minimum age?
The kickbikes are made for adults. From around 12 years old and 1.40 metres tall it works well. Participants under 16 ride under the supervision of an adult.
Is a helmet required?
No, a helmet is not required in the Netherlands and is not included as standard. Would you like helmets anyway? Add it to the comments and we will see what is possible.
What about insurance and damage?
Riding is at your own risk. Normal wear and tear is on us. Damage caused by careless use, or a kickbike that goes missing, will be charged. With the evening rental the group gets a cable lock. Lock the kickbikes at every stop.
How do I pay?
By invoice only, in advance. After your request we send you the confirmation and the invoice as soon as possible, usually within 2 working days. Once the payment has been received, your booking is fixed. Online payment or paying by card on delivery is not possible.
Are the prices including VAT?
No. All prices are per kickbike and exclude 21% Dutch VAT (BTW).
Are other times possible?
On request, yes. Choose the time slot that comes closest and add the times you would like to the comments.
What is a kickbike?
A kick scooter for adults: large front wheel, bicycle handlebars and a low footboard to stand on. You push off with your foot and roll. There is no motor, no saddle and no gears.
How fast does a kickbike go?
At an easy pace you do about 10 km per hour; if you put some effort in, you get close to 18. Everyone sets their own pace, so the group easily stays together.
Do we get a route?
Yes, three free kickbike routes: a city route along the moat and the Oudegracht canal, a countryside route along the river Vecht and an evening route past pubs. We send them along with the invoice, so you can follow them on your phone.
Do we get a guide?
No. We deliver the kickbikes and collect them again, the tour is up to you. No instruction is needed: after two minutes everyone has the hang of it.
Where do we ride?
On the cycle path, just like bicycles. The same rules apply as for cyclists in the Netherlands, so keep right and stay off the pavement.
Is riding a kickbike hard work?
No. On a flat road you roll a long way after each push. You simply switch legs when one gets tired, and you set your own pace.

Ready to ride?
Request your kickbikes with the form. We will send you the confirmation and the invoice as soon as possible.
